Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing National Alcohol Research Agenda The National Alcohol Research Agenda provides a national blueprint for alcohol research that is broad-based, concise and accessible to a wide range of groups and individuals interested in alcohol research. The Agenda is intended to inform and provide a resource for State and Federal governments, researchers, non-government organisations and funding bodies, universities, local government, the alcohol industry, employers, law enforcement, the health sector; the insurance industry and the general community. The Agenda includes a set of principles to guide the identification and assessment of future alcohol research priorities.

Global Alcohol Database International information and statistics on alcohol use. Information is gathered by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) NDARC is funded by the Commonwealth Government as part of the National Drug Strategy. It aims to improve the effectiveness of interventions for drug and alcohol problems in Australia. Information on the National Evaluation of Pharmocotherapies for Opioid Dependence (NEPOD) can also be obtained from this site.
Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre Turning Point conduct practical, applied research leading to policy and service development. Their focus is on improving and expanding the range and quality of treatment and support services through evidence-based research. Register of Australian Alcohol and Drug Research (RADAR) This is a comprehensive register of Alcohol and other Drugs research currently being undertaken or recently completed in Australia (2001 +). The purpose of the register is to generate awareness of academic and action research, both published or in progress, and to improve dissemination of research findings to appropriate organisations and individuals in the field. |
